Acerca de SecondScreen

SecondScreen transforms how you use Android with external displays. Designed for power users who regularly connect phones or tablets to TVs and monitors, this app works alongside your existing screen mirroring setup to unlock capabilities your device can't reach alone.

Change your display resolution and pixel density to match your external screen's capabilities. Show the full tablet interface on a phone connected to a TV, or optimize for older displays with overscan compensation. Create profiles for different monitors and TVs, then switch between them instantly—each profile remembers your preferred settings for that particular display.

Take full advantage of a larger screen by enabling desktop mode in Chrome, letting you browse the actual Web instead of mobile sites. Lock orientation to landscape, disable your device's backlight to save battery while it powers your TV experience, and toggle vibration feedback off. Automatically activate Bluetooth and Wi-Fi when you connect an external display, so your keyboard, mouse, and game controller link up without manual setup. Enable system-wide immersive mode to hide navigation bars and maximize screen real estate.

Profiles load automatically when your display connects, eliminating repetitive setup. Use Quick Actions to trigger individual features without creating full profiles, or place homescreen shortcuts for instant one-tap access to your favorite configurations. The app integrates deeply with Tasker for automation, and supports notifications that persist even after device restarts.

SecondScreen requires root access or adb shell commands to modify system settings like resolution, DPI, backlight state, and rotation lock. It works best on devices running AOSP or Google experience ROMs—manufacturer-customized interfaces may not fully support all features. Screen mirroring itself comes from your device's built-in capabilities or wireless standards like Miracast and Chromecast; a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse are strongly recommended since interface elements become smaller on your connected device after resolution changes.

This is a tool for users comfortable with advanced Android customization who want to bridge their phone or tablet and television into a single, fluid workspace. SecondScreen gives your Android device desktop-class flexibility.
